The Asia Pacific Forum on Women, Law and Development (APWLD) released its new publication in time for the International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples on 9 August.

The publication includes the summary report of the Asia Pacific NGO Consultation with the United Nations Special Rapporteur on violence against women, its causes and consequences (UNSRVAW), Yakin Erturk and the Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights and fundamental freedoms of indigenous peoples (UNSRIP), S. James Anaya.

The consultation was held on 15-16 October 2008 in New Delhi, India.
